There is an on-going debate in the photography world about digital files. Some companies like to offer ALL the images, some like to edit a few. While others don’t offer you digitals at any price point. As business owners, we are always trying to stay on top of the game, while offering our clients the best option.
We like to give the digital files. It’s a huge part of how we run our business. Lately, I have been thinking about why we do this, and I just really enjoy my brides being able to share all the images with whomever they like. As technology changes, and computers are going without the DVD drive, I am moved to think about more of an heirloom quality to what we do. Is digital easier? Probably in most circumstances. I don’t want my brides to be image hungry. I want them to have the digitals, so I will always offer them., but I also want to instill how treasured wedding photography should be. I want them to have albums, and pretty canvases on their wall of their wedding. I want your future children to page through your albums, and want to look JUST as beautiful as mommy did . I want your story to come to life, right before your eyes, every time you flip through the pages of the album.
I am so excited to be adding a few special collections to NWP in the next few weeks! We will still have the ease and simplicity of all day coverage, with two kick-butt photographers and pretty edited images on a disk. But for those of you who want to have a few special keepsakes of your day, we will help narrow down all the options and give you some flexibility of finding some pretty heirloom-quality items to add to your home. If you would like to know more, shoot me a message about your wedding day! nikki@nikkiwinterphotography.com
